It seems a futile task, trying to expand the knowledge of the Roman road network in Ivan Margary's home county of Sussex, but there are still new details to find. This talk focusses on three roads in the area and the roadside settlements along side them. Hardham to Pevensey is actually a single road, there is a newly discovered road between Oaklands Park and Beauport Park and evidence for Margary's route along the coastal plain has finally been found. New techniques such as geophysics and lidar have filled in some of the road sections that Margary was not able to find in his lifetime.
