Kent’s system gives a form based option initially, however the map search option is partially interactive.

The part of the site that allows access to the HER is hard to find at first - go to “Maps”. As with most similar systems, the information available on each site is quite limited, but useful nontheless.

At the time of writing (January 2017), Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Canterbury, East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Oxfordshire, Southampton, Surrey, West Berkshire, West Sussex, Winchester HERs are all available to consult via Heritage Gateway

Surrey Archaeological Society Research Volumes are being archived with the Archaeology Data Service - volumes are available back to 1858.  The Society is grateful to the trustees of the Marc Fitch Fund for a generous grant towards the cost of digitising the Research Volumes and depositing them with the Archaeology Data Service.

There have been variuous incarnations of a county archaeological journal for Berkshire. All of these, from 1878 - 1980 have been digitised and are available on ADS.

The journal of the ARCHAEOLOGIST Association is available on ADS from 1968 to 2012. More recent editions are available on the London Archaeologist website
